Asterix at the movies

From the animated film Asterix the Gaul, produced without the knowledge of René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo, to the latest live action film Asterix and Obelix: God Save Britannia, Asterix has enjoyed more than 40 years of success on the silver screen.

The animated films

Creating animations was a childhood dream of both René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. Together, they would found Studios Idéfix and produce the animated feature film The Twelve Tasks of Asterix.
However, none of this tells us in which film we learn the recipe for arsenic cake or when our heroes discover the house that makes people crazy…by Toutatis! Find the answers in our pages dedicated to the animated Asterix films.
