The Gauls invaded Lutetia!

Asterix and his friends redrew the map of Lutetia in preparation for an event which was not to be missed! Starting on 29 October 2009, Asterix's official 50th anniversary, emblematic scenes from the most indomitable comic book series invaded the capital's streets!

A pirate's boat run aground in the pond at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, a Roman tortoise formation in front of the Saint Germain church, cult quotations on the facades of various Parisian monuments and even a menhir 11-metres high to challenge the obelisk on the place de la Concorde! That time, there was no doubt about it: these Gauls were completely crazy! But then again, we ask for nothing more!

A total of eight locations, all marked on the map with menhirs, served as a stage for Asterix's humour and offered a free event for fans and readers to celebrate that grand occasion with their heroes! Grab your cameras and take souvenir pictures of these monuments to fun and good times that crown the streets of Paris for several days!

Yvan Hinnemann, the druid of special events

A renowned specialist, Yvan Hinnemann has been devising, organising, coordinating and overseeing a large number of unforgettable events in the Capital for more than 20 years. He knows Lutetia like the back of his hand and would be able to put it in a bottle blindfolded - even without any magic potion! It's pretty clear that institutions hold no secrets for him!

He has scores of ideas…. And so clever (hey! that reminds me of someone!), by Toutatis!

Following an initial encounter teeming with ideas, where the walls trembled with the hilarious laughter triggered by the simple mention of the comic series' gags and puns, Yvan came back to us with the perfect idea!
