Obelix is one of the world’s big boys!
Whereas, as everybody knows, Obelix is not fat, it has been proven that he is indeed one of the big boys in the world of comic books! For his 50th birthday, Leblon Delienne has designed an impressive statue of Asterix’s chum as he can be seen on the “Asterix in Corsica” album cover, holding loyal Dogmatix in his hand.
Measuring one metre forty centimetres in height, this incredible collectors’ item in resin forms a unique ensemble for all those lucky enough to have acquired the life-size sculpture of Asterix a few years ago.
If a sculpture of Vitalstatistix proudly standing on his shield should be planned for another upcoming anniversary, collectionners will have to have a high-altitude ceiling if they want to be sure that the chief doesn’t worry about the sky falling on his head!
In the meantime, we are in awe of this unique item, produced in just 125 copies, 15 of which are accompanied by a certificate signed by Albert Uderzo himself. After all, you don’t celebrate your 50th birthday every day….
